The new hospitals will have a total of 785 beds capacity and will provide medical services to the residents of The Western Region of Ghana.
The Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital and The Agona Regional Hospital will each have 8 fully equipped operating theatres, Emergency and Accidents, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Dependency Units (HDU), Orthopaedic, modern Maternity and Neonatal Care (NICU), Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics and more.
The hospitals will also have all modern and advanced imaging equipment including MRI, CT, X-ray as well as other state-of-the-art equipment.
