Project Description
In May 2016 Amandi holdings was contracted by ECG (Electrical Company of Ghana) to conduct improvements in the energy infrastructure in Ghana.
The purpose of the project was to provide reliable, safe, and continuous supply of energy for the benefit of the citizens in the Central Region of Ghana.
The project includes the installation of SCADA systems. SCADA ( Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is a high-level process supervisory management system for gathering and analyzing real time data. The system is used to monitor and control the daily operations of the following eight 33/11KV substations in the central region: Kasoa, Swedru, Winneba, Saltpond, Asebu, Assin Fosu, Cape Coast and Elmina. The project also included the reconstruction of Saltpond, Asebu and Assin Fosu substations.
The project consisted of four parts:
- Civil work involving the installation of electromechanical equipment.
- Installation of individual SCADA systems station shaft + central SCADA systems at all stations.
- Physical Security installations & CCTV system.
- Cyber Security.
